FROM THE DESK OF BOBBY D

Hey Chaos Army,

Some days the show feels like a perfect collision of pop culture, strange science, and the kind of random facts that make you stop and go, “Wait… really?” Today was one of those days.

We celebrated a gaming icon, learned that some dogs might secretly be judging us, talked horror movies breaking records, and even stumbled across a viral meal trend that basically turns dinner into human dog food.

In other words… a completely normal day on the show.

Here’s what rolled across the desk today.

REASONS TO PARTY

Mario Day & International Day of Awesomeness

Today’s got a double celebration going on.

First up, it’s Mario Day — a tribute to the legendary video game hero Mario, whose adventures have been saving princesses and stomping turtles since the early days of Nintendo.

Why March 10th? Because when you write it out — MAR 10 — it looks like Mario.

Simple. Brilliant. Completely on brand.

And if that wasn’t enough, today is also International Day of Awesomeness.

That one’s pretty self-explanatory.

Celebrate the people doing cool things, doing good things, or just doing their best to make the day a little better for someone else.

Awesomeness comes in a lot of forms.

SURVEYS, STUDIES & SUCH

If you’ve ever felt like your dog was silently judging you… science says you might not be imagining it.

Researchers at Kyoto University ran experiments where dogs watched humans try to open food containers. Some people opened them quickly and efficiently. Others struggled.

Female dogs paid close attention.

In 83% of trials, female dogs chose to approach the person who successfully opened the container. They often avoided the people who struggled.

Male dogs? Not so much.

They showed far less preference, suggesting female dogs may be more likely to evaluate human competence before deciding who to trust.

So yes… your dog might actually be sizing you up.

BIG SCREEN – LITTLE SCREEN

A couple entertainment stories made noise today.

Actor Connor Storrie, known from the series Heated Rivalry, hosted Saturday Night Live recently and surprised fans when his co-star Hudson Williams showed up during a sketch.

The show also welcomed some real-life hockey stars including Quinn Hughes, Jack Hughes, Megan Keller, and Hilary Knight.

Meanwhile, the horror franchise Scream 7 absolutely dominated the box office, pulling in an estimated $66.5 million opening weekend and setting a new record for the series.

The film also marks the return of franchise icon Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott.

Apparently the slasher series still has plenty of life left in it.

FUN FACTS FOR YOUR BRAIN

DID YA KNOW?

Your bones are stronger than you might think.

Ounce for ounce, bone is actually stronger than steel when it comes to handling pressure. That strength allows the skeleton to support the entire body while still staying relatively lightweight.

The human body is basically walking engineering.

SCOOP OF THE DAY

Some medications may be doing more behind the scenes than people realize.

Drugs known as PDE5 inhibitors — including Viagra — are widely used to treat erectile dysfunction, but research published in the World Journal of Men's Health suggests they may also provide other health benefits.

Because these medications relax blood vessels and improve circulation, studies indicate they may help support heart health, reduce stroke risk, and even improve certain diabetes-related symptoms.

Researchers say millions of men dealing with ED never seek treatment, meaning they could be missing out on these broader health benefits.

Meanwhile, the brand Axe is tackling a long-running reputation problem.

Yes… the legendary body spray cloud.

Their new campaign, The History of Overdoing It, introduces updated spray technology designed to create a lighter mist — helping users avoid turning an entire room into a fragrance experiment.

They’re also launching a new scent called Midnight Amber.

The message?
Confidence is better when it’s subtle.

MOVIE QUOTE OF THE DAY

“It’s just a flesh wound.”

— from Monty Python and the Holy Grail, delivered by the Black Knight, played by John Cleese.

Still one of the most ridiculous — and perfect — comedy moments ever filmed.

FUN FACTS FOR YOUR BRAIN

A few random nuggets for the day:

✓ Airline pilots and co-pilots eat different meals during flights to avoid food poisoning affecting both.
✓ Male wasps cannot sting.
✓ Elvis Presley’s manager famously sold “I Hate Elvis” buttons to make money from critics.
✓ There’s a real psychological condition called boanthropy, where a person believes they are a cow.
✓ And yes… 99% of people cannot lick their own elbow.

You probably just tried.

WEIRD NEWS

A new viral food trend called “boy kibble” is making the rounds online.

The idea is simple: a bowl of ground beef, rice, and maybe a few vegetables. It’s quick, protein-heavy, cheap, and easy to prepare in bulk.

The name comes from the fact that it looks suspiciously similar to… well… dog food.

The trend started with gym-focused meal prep culture and spread across TikTok, where creators began adding eggs, sauces, and vegetables to upgrade the concept.

Not glamorous.

But apparently very practical.

QUESTION OF THE DAY

Today, almost one in five adults will forget this.

What is it?

What day it is.

Honestly… relatable.

GOOD NEWS

A powerful story surfaced about a mother who was once told she had only days left to live. After receiving unexpected treatment and care, she’s now been given what doctors are calling a miraculous second chance.

Stories like that remind us that medicine, determination, and hope can still produce incredible outcomes.

Sometimes the story isn’t over when people think it is.

THINGS I DIDN’T SAY ON AIR

Today’s theme, if you look at it closely, is perspective.

Dogs judging us.
Awesomeness getting its own holiday.
People finding second chances when things looked impossible.

Life throws a lot at us. Some of it serious, some of it strange, some of it downright hilarious.

But the trick is remembering that even in the middle of the chaos, there’s always something good worth noticing.

Maybe it’s a second chance.
Maybe it’s a laugh.
Maybe it’s just realizing today is the International Day of Awesomeness… and you’re still here doing your thing.

And honestly, that counts for a lot.

Until tomorrow,

– Bobby D
